71 riding clubs, 155 riders and 21 tests and competitions

Four-time Grand Prix winner Florian Villwock returns to Teschow

(Teschow) Teschow is coming back to life this weekend. The horse show in the park behind the LIMES Schlossklinik, which has long since become a tradition, starts on Saturday. 155 riders have registered for the two-day tournament with 21 tests and competitions. Katrin Remminghorst and Madlen Schmidt from the show management are making the final preparations with their team. Four dressage and four show jumping competitions will be judged for the district championships for riders who are members of an equestrian sports association in the district of Rostock.

71 riding clubs, including some from Berlin-Brandenburg, are sending participants. Niclas Schulte from Bad Zwischenahn in Lower Saxony has the longest journey. The most riders, ten each, come from Kastanienhof Cramon and PSC Tenze. Nine come from RV Zehlendorf-Recknitztal and seven from RFV Malchow. Five riders will be competing for the host club Teschow: Alina Ahnert, Milla Franke, Jessica Lajn, Hanna Schramm and show director Katrin Remminghorst.

The Grand Prix is likely to be particularly interesting again, as four-time winner Florian Villwock from Tempel near Ribnitz, who rides for RSG Wöpkendorf, will be back and recently proved that he is in good form by winning the main jumping competition in Wöpkendorf/Dettmannsdorf. But there is also Juliane Weiß from Grevesmühlen, winner of the Grand Prix in Eldena at the weekend. And then there is Lisa Rohde (Steinhagen), who also won in Teschow and has impressively demonstrated her form at recent tournaments.

"We are particularly pleased that our long-standing patrons, supporters and sponsors are back. These include Famila Warenhaus Teterow, the agricultural business Marvin Mathe MML from Teschow and the company BSC, who are providing us with particularly valuable prizes and cash prizes, as well as Karl Hanebrink's feed business from Todendorf with products from the feed company SALVANA," says tournament director Katrin Remminghorst.

The tournament starts on Saturday at 8:30 am. Show jumpers will open the tournament. The first of the day's six classes is a show jumping competition for young four to six-year-old horses. The competition continues at 9:45 am with two novice (A) level show jumping classes and a competition. A class A jumping competition from 12:30 p.m. will be followed by a class L jumping competition at 2:15 p.m. The day's show jumping program ends with an elementary class show jumping competition with a jump-off (starting at 3:30 pm).

For dressage riders, who start at 9 a.m. with an E-level dressage test, there are four program sections on Saturday. At 10:30 a.m., an A-level dressage test will start, followed by an A-level dressage test at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m. there will be an equestrian competition for the youngest riders. On Sunday, the higher classes will be held in the dressage arena. It starts at 9 a.m. with a dressage competition at lower level. This will be followed by two more A-level dressage competitions at 10 am and 11 am. On Sunday afternoon, two elementary level dressage competitions are on the program. The L2 test starts at 12:45 pm and the dressage program ends with the L6 test at 2 pm.

The show jumping competitions also begin on Sunday at 9 am. It starts with a novice (A) show jumping competition for amateurs and at 10:15 a style jumping competition for beginners is scheduled. Another class A jumping competition from 11 a.m. will be followed at 1 p.m. by the second highest jumping competition of the tournament, an elementary level competition. During the changeover to the Grand Prix, the children with lead reins will make their appearance at around 2.30 pm. The Grand Prix, a medium-difficulty jumping competition that is decided in a winning round, starts at 3 pm. Here, Florian Villwock will try to win the largest share of the special prize money of 2,000 euros offered by BSC.

Interested visitors will find good seating and the best view in the newly designed grandstand. Of course, there will also be plenty of food and drink. A visit is definitely worthwhile. (fw)
