Nature and landscape tour to the NSG Maibachtal at the western edge of the Recknitz valley
Guided bike or hiking tour to the Maibachtal: The nature reserve Maibachtal is located at the edge of the Recknitz valley, one encounters unusually steep slopes and very natural forest in a post-glacial landscape. The very rare brook lamprey still lives in the Maibach, adjacent to the alder quarry forest you get into rustic beech forests and the floodplain landscape of the Recknitz valley with beavers, kingfishers and otters, also the very rare lesser spotted eagle has its refuge there.
Dates: Every Friday (from May to December) (other dates for individual groups on request).
Start: 10:00 a.m.
Duration: about 2.5 hours
Meeting point: in front of the Ehmkendorf manor house
Costs: 18 €/adult, 9 €/child from 12 years, up to 12 years free of charge (The minimum price of 75 € per guided tour must be reached by all participants).
