A tribute to the beauty of Hiddensee

"A community of landscape painters - the V(f)itten MalerInnen - reflect island life on Hiddensee. They spend most of the day drawing and painting in nature. This approach to motifs has become a rarity, and the resulting works of art can be recognized by the colourful luminosity of the paintings. Putting impressions on paper with watercolors, doing justice to the landscape in sketches and studies with pastel pencils or acrylics - then using them as models in the studio."
