Form.Color.Surface - Exhibition of paintings by Silke Papzien in the elbgoldmanufaktur

Silke Papzien's works thrive on rich color and the individual interpretation of natural and geometric forms, transferred to mostly large formats. In this exhibition, Silke Papzien shows figures, architecture, still lifes and abstract works in acrylic on paper.
The exhibitor lives in Dömitz, but many of her works - especially the architectural references - can be found in Berlin, her previous place of residence. Painting trips have taken her to Tuscany and France, and influences from these landscapes can be found in her paintings as well as seemingly random abstract color patterns and shapes that fill the surfaces with ever new overpaintings.
