Traditions, music, theater, dance, customs, festivals, rituals, crafts, Low German. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern celebrates its intangible cultural heritage.
Intangible cultural heritage? What is that actually? Does it also exist in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern? Yes, there is. And there are many actors. You just have to make them known, thought the Heimatverband MV. With the "Festival of Traditions" from May 24 to 26, 2024 at the Schwerin-Mueß Open-Air Museum, intangible cultural heritage in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will be presented in many facets.
For once, the scene in the state will be able to come together and form networks consisting of craftspeople, musicians, dancers and many traditional figures from different places and areas. Many actors can present themselves and their work to as many visitors as possible at the festival. However, the public should not just watch and listen - they should also take part - in workshops or by singing or dancing together...
The only entrance fee is the usual entrance fee for the Schwerin-Mueß open-air museum. Adults 5 EURO, reduced 3,50 EURO, children from 7 years 2 EURO, younger 0 EURO.
