Jewelry by Gabriele von Lehsten, hand-woven by Katja Stelz, graphics by Johanna Schütz-Wolff
Gabriele v. Lehsten designs unique jewelry made of gold, silver, acrylic and gemstones. In her working method, she is inspired by mostly strict, geometric shapes, for example, from architecture or technology. She wants to spread joy, happiness and love of life with her jewelry.
Katja Stelz says about her hand-woven blankets:The Scandinavian yarns give the blankets a fine sheen and a soft feel.Characteristic is their complex patterning and subtle colors. And about her rugs: The classic black and white contrast and the rhythmic interaction of surface and line give the rugs a timeless aesthetic. They owe their surprising feel and sensual warmth to the goat hair.
Johanna Schütz-Wolff (1896 -1965) was a weaver of tapestries, painter and graphic artist. Woodcuts and monotypes from her extensive estate, which is kept at the Rothen Manor House, will be on display.
