The Stralsund City Library is expanding its program: From now on, the new Technothek - supported by the Association of German Engineers (VDI) - invites you to experience hands-on technology once a month.
Under the title "Experimenting, building and programming with the Technothek", an open workshop takes place every second Thursday of the month from 4:00 to 5:00 pm in the city library. The series of events offers exciting insights into the world of technology - creating colorful pictures with the Bee- and Blue-Bot, programming your own robots with LEGO Spike and WeDo, building vehicles with Fischertechnik or implementing creative projects with Makey Makey.
The Technothek is a new media area within the library that offers materials on the STEM subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology) for borrowing and practical exploration. The aim is to give children and young people a low-threshold introduction to the world of technology.
The first date is May 8, 2025, when it's parkour time with Blue and Bee-Bot - small robots are programmed to master creative tasks and obstacles.
The offers are aimed at different age groups and are adapted thematically and age-appropriately. Our monthly Technothek workshops offer children and young people the opportunity to get to know technology in a fun way - without any prior knowledge. Some workshops are suitable for children from the age of 6, while others are aimed at older schoolchildren with an interest in technology and programming. Each event has its own theme and is therefore suitable for different age groups.
Participation is free of charge. As places are limited, early registration is recommended.
