Children, Lecture & Science
The Day of Mathematics is all about the phenomenon of mathematics. There will be many different opportunities for a young audience to discover mathematics in a playful way. The activities are primarily aimed at children and young people aged 10 to 18, but adults will certainly not be bored either.
For the younger children, there are games, fun and puzzles, a geometric treasure hunt, puzzles on the magic cube, symmetrical art and a paper airplane competition.
Older children and teenagers can enjoy activities such as more challenging puzzles and riddles, machine learning and neural networks as well as various presentations on everyday topics such as: "The Haruhi problem: from an anime to combinatorics" and others. There will also be barbecue delicacies, drinks and a cake buffet.
For prospective students, the Student Council of Mathematics also offers study counseling.
