The Dresden cabaret "Die Herkuleskeule" with their latest program "RABIMMEL RABAMMEL RABUMM"
Since its foundation in 1961, the ensemble of the Dresden cabaret "Die Herkuleskeule" has stood for witty satire, political topicality and sharply pointed statements. It sees itself as the opposition and takes the ruling social order to task. The members of the ensemble use the means of entertainment to entice the audience, only to suddenly serve up uncomfortable facts. The fact that "Die Herkuleskeule" mocks the small and large weaknesses of the audience and our society repeatedly brings them spontaneous criticism from the audience.
They show us how they challenge their audience with their latest program "RABIMMEL RABAMMEL RABUMM". Two people meet. One says: "My wife needs space for herself." The other says: "Can live with me for now." What starts as a joke turns into a nightmare for the other. Because as soon as one moves in with the other, the other shows the other how to live from now on: gender-appropriate, packaging-free and vegan! Language-sensitive and woke! And because the other doesn't want to change, one of them sticks to the floor. You know these debates from home? Philipp Schaller's new cabaret comedy takes the argument from the kitchen table to the stage, takes the lunacy to the extreme and yet finds no answers.
"Die Herkuleskeule" holds up a mirror to us all and gives us the opportunity to smile about our opinions, our arguments and our discussion culture or, even better, to laugh heartily.
