The Kaiserhof Penkun invites you to another special musical evening. On 14.09.2024, two regional performing artists Bodo Weih (Penkun) and David Serebryanik (Szczecin) will perform the song cycle "Die Schöne Müllerin" for baritone and piano by Franz Schubert based on poems by Wilhelm Müller.
David Serebryanik: A life for music
David Serebryanik, a talented pianist with a remarkable background, will present the evening on the piano. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, into a Russian-Jewish family of opera artists, he was born with music in his cradle. Even as a child, he explored the world of music, inspired by his father, a conductor and pianist. Through his early introduction to improvisation, he developed a passion for free and creative music-making.
After studying at the music academies in Würzburg and Munich, Serebryanik has given concerts worldwide, often combining classical music with jazz, klezmer, pop and other styles. He has been a pianist at the Schauspielhaus Stettin since 2024 and also teaches at the Academy of Arts in Stettin.
Bodo Weih: German and French Romanticism
Born in Landau in der Pfalz, he began taking violin lessons at an early age and gained experience in church and concert choirs. He completed his training as a soloist in Darmstadt, specializing in German and French Romantic art songs. His repertoire includes works by Schumann, Schubert, Duparc, Fauré and Wagner. He lives in Berlin and Penkun.
With 50 seats, our venue offers the experience of a chamber concert - at eye level with the two artists.
During the interval or after the concert - with a glass of Palatinate wine and a lard sandwich - you are welcome to talk to the artists.
