Big Hot Dog Man 2024

The fast-food takeaway in Wismar wants to make the most of its anniversary. Coney 1871 has been treating its customers to hot dogs in four sizes and more than 30 unusual varieties, including vegetarian and vegan, since 2011. The Big Hot Dog Man has also been around for seven years now. This year, however, the focus of the event is on the desire to do something good for the region. There will be a fundraising dinner. You can register as a group of 5 and bring along a charitable project to which you would like to donate money. The Baucenter Stäbelow team, led by Max Tramm, will be competing again and would like the donation pot to go to the animal shelter in Dorf Mecklenburg. The Helmut Schael Holzbauelemente team from Bentwisch is also taking part and eating for the Wismarer Tafel. "We are still missing teams from Wismar and the surrounding area," says the organizer. Anyone can form a team. Last year, a soccer club also took part. The online platform Betterplace.org takes care of the donation organization. Donations can be made online at www.betterplace.org/spenden/bighotdogman2024 or on site on the day of the event. On May 18, the event will kick off at 4 p.m. with a team competition for the donation pot. The winning team will then decide to whom or which organization the donation pot will be distributed. At 5:30 pm, the individual competitors will fight for the "Big Hot Dog Man 2024" glass trophy and the prize money of €500. From 7 p.m., the young, dynamic musicians of the band "Luis Dannewitz & Mades" will give the event a worthy finale of rock, pop and dream rock.
