Bike tour on the traces of German history
This tour always takes place on Wednesdays in September and October, starting at 11:00 a.m. on the festival meadow behind the Kurhaus.
Where today in Boltenhagen-Tarnewitz the hotel complex "Weiße Wieck" with the yacht and fishing harbor is located, there was a military airfield in the Nazi period, and also in the GDR period this area was not accessible. Boltenhagen was the westernmost seaside resort of the GDR, and the restricted area began right behind it. Not much of this can be seen today, but if you look closely you can still discover traces of this time. We enjoy the wonderful view from the high shore "Großklützhöved" and stop in Steinbeck at the farm café. There we can warm up and look at historical photos and books on the subject.
The tour lasts 3-4 hours. Please bring your own bike. Cost: 11,- € per person, with spa card 10,- €, children up to 18 years 6,- €, with spa card 5,- €.
