A lecture on archaeology by Uwe Weiß
"It's like you're on vacation" or "Have you ever found gold?" are phrases that you often hear as an archaeologist. But how relaxing are archaeological excavations really and how do they actually work? Uwe Weiß worked on excavations for over 20 years, mainly in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Brandenburg, before moving to the Waren City History Museum. Excavating is an exciting, but also complex activity, where you not only learn a lot about the past, but also about the weather, nature, geology and construction. And of course, some highlights from the excavation work are also shown ... and no, there's no gold involved ...
