Jörg Brandt: Painting, graphics, material works

The raw material of tree bark has been part of his art for many years, combined with oil painting.

Brandt grew up in rural areas and is preoccupied with the elemental force and beauty of nature: In particular, the forest and its protagonist, the tree inspires Brandt to create images, thoughts and plays of color. Jörg Brandt circles around the symbiosis of urban artificial structures on the one hand and natural, organic forms and elements on the other with drawings, printing techniques, paintings and material works.
