In the residential studio of the artist works of recent years are shown. Large-scale landscapes and abstractions in oil and acrylic, as well as small prints and drawings.
Richard Berger studied at the Burg Giebichenstein Art Academy in Halle and works as an artist, restorer and educator.
He was born in 1971 and grew up in Mecklenburg. The local environment with its typical forests and fields shaped him.
As an artist, he often chooses scenic motifs. In his paintings he is looking for new ways of expression in landscape painting. It ranges from "ab-images" to strong abstraction. The same applies to images of the human body and portraits.
In addition to the large works, there are prints as well as workbooks with drawings and collages in which he tries out and creative "experiments".
