In Annette Bremer-Langen's drawings and paintings, colored surfaces nestle close together and create an exciting pictorial field, interspersed with contrasting use of color, sometimes glazed, sometimes opaque and colored chalk lines, the whole is skillfully orchestrated and structured. Annette Bremer-Langen's brushstrokes create luminous landscapes, soothing groves of trees and urban street scenes. Viewers thus become flaneurs in these vast landscapes and cityscapes, whose pull they can hardly escape.
