Discover the magic of "An Ozobot's Fairytale"! Immerse yourself in a world of fantasy and creativity as little Ozobot robots conquer the stage. This media-educational theater project, presented by the Stralsund Children's Library in cooperation with the media workshop Identity Films e.V. and the Makerport Stralsund, invites curious children aged 8 to 14 to become part of this unique experience. Experience how robotics, making, storytelling and theater merge into a colorful DIY spectacle and make eyes light up. Secure your place now for the kick-off event on July 6, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and register at the children's library.
The children's library of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund, in cooperation with the media workshop Identity Films e.V. and the Makerport Stralsund, is pleased to invite curious and creative children aged 8 to 14 to a unique media education project: "An Ozobot's Fairytale".
This exciting theater project combines digital literacy, cultural education and STEM promotion in a playful way and offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Ozobots when the stage is cleared and little robots conquer the boards.
Under the direction of media educator Stefan Koeck from the media workshop Identity Films e.V., robotics, making, storytelling and theater come together to create a colorful DIY spectacle. Together, the children develop a play on a theme of their choice, create characters and design an adventurous journey full of fantastic experiences.
The Ozobots take on the leading role, lovingly designed in specially made costumes, they travel through the play programmed by the children. Together, the children create an original stage set for this exciting Ozobot adventure, using various materials such as textiles, paper, cardboard, LEDs, self-printed 3D props and more.
Interested children are cordially invited to the kick-off event on 06.07.24 from 10:00 to 14:00 and to the follow-up meetings, which will take place on several Saturdays and as part of vacation programs until the end of 2025 in the Stralsund City Library.

Background information
With the program "Gemeinsam Digital! Creative with Media" program, the German Library Association (dbv) is funding local digital reading promotion projects for children and young people aged three to 18 as part of the third funding phase of "Kultur macht stark" (2023-2027) from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The aim is to reach children and young people who are growing up in at-risk situations in particular and to open up additional educational opportunities for them.
