The venue is Sellin on the Island of Rügen. Eight teams of two players each, consisting of the best professional polo players from Argentina and from German polo clubs will compete against each other.
9 years of beach polo in Sellin, 9 years of fast-paced matches directly on the sandy beach in front of the imposing backdrop of the pier.
Over 65 polo horses travel with the players for the weekend. From Great Britain comes the team Ricky Cooper and Peter Webb. They play for the Centtrip Wales Polo Team. Patron for this team is Prince Charles.
New gastronomy concept
Admission in the tent and around the field is free for everyone (except for the VIP area). In the lounge tent, visitors can expect a varied gastronomic line and many seats in the tent and on the terrace with the best view of the game.
Thursday, 27.09.2018, 16.00: Mounted parade of all participating polo teams through the traditional Wilhelmstrasse of Sellin.
Friday, 28.09.2018, 13.00: Official opening of the games.
From 20:30 Polo Players Fashion Party at "Dohrmann Fashion" in Binz.
Saturday, 29.09.2018, 12:00 h: Start of the games.
From 20:30 clock 4th Oktoberfest with the Oktoberfest Dirndl Band made by Bianca Karsten and DJ Sebastian Fittke.
Sunday, 30.09.2018, 12:00: Start of the games and award ceremony following the final game, presentation of the winner's trophy.
The VIP area in the lounge tent - directly on the edge of the pitch - is open daily from 11:00 - 18:00. Here you can meet the players, sponsors and one or the other celebrity, such as Mariella Ahrens, Leningrad-born film and television actress in Germany.
