Art break on the day of hiking with Henriette Maxin

On today's Hiking Day, we invite you on a walk. Along a path with many stages, from the forecourt of the Pomeranian State Museum to the Museum Street, we meet Caspar David Friedrich as a wanderer, his family in 1818 and the legendary blue flower of Romanticism. Afterwards (12.30 pm): Screening of the film "Sketches from the Giant Mountains", made as part of the Wanderresidenz A dancer and a musician. We followed Friedrich and Kersting to the Giant Mountains/Karkonosze/Krkonoše as part of the "traveling residency" offered by the Berlin-Wrocław cultural train. What happens when a dancer and a musician (wandering) pass through landscapes that meet the ruins of Eldena in Friedrich's painting? A film documents the journey, the rehearsals, musical and dance improvisations, sense and nonsense. The score follows an event that took place many decades ago and whose result is a painting. DE 2024, Dance: Małgosia Suś / Music: Matthias Schriefl / Director: Oliver Spatz, Natalie Wasserman / Production: Cultural Department for Pomerania and East Brandenburg at the Pomeranian State Museum, Camera and editing: Bullhorn Communications Admission: 5,00 € Supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, by the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, by the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald - Office for Education, Culture and Sport, by the Ostdeutsche Sparkassenstiftung together with the Sparkasse Vorpommern Foundation with the help of PS-Lotteriesparens and by the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from the Fund for Vorpommern and Eastern Mecklenburg.
