At the 24th AppleDay on October 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the PAHLHUUS information center in Zarrentin, everything will once again revolve around apples. The variety experts Jens Meyer and Ulrike Gisbier will be guests. Those who still have unknown apple varieties in their garden can have their own fruit determined for a donation of €2 per variety. Interested parties should bring at least 4 perfect apples per variety.
Furthermore, the program includes a variety exhibition with old and new apple varieties. Children can make "apple elves and other creatures" from natural materials at "Ede's Ökomobil". At the apple market there will be fresh apple juice, raclette-apple-cheese-baquette, apple trees, bratwurst, cakes, specialized books, honey, perennials, fresh apples and much more. The organizer of the AppleDay is the Förderverein Biosphäre Schaalsee e.V. in cooperation with the Biosphere Reserve Office Schaalsee-Elbe.
