2nd open day

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the Störtebeker distillery will open its doors to all whisky and spirits lovers for a whole day for the second time.

A very special highlight this year: the new barrel warehouse! The first construction work began last spring. On the Open Day, the public will now be able to visit the new cask store for the first time as part of the distillery tour.

In addition, you can expect a day full of interesting insights into the fascinating production of whisky, gin and other spirits in the picturesquely situated distillery. On this day, the distillery will not only let you take a look behind the scenes at the new barrel warehouse, but also show you areas of production that are otherwise not open to the public. Guided tours of the distillery start every hour from 11 am. Here you can take a look at the stills and various facilities, learn all about the production processes and the creation of the various spirits. Afterwards, there is a variety of different whiskies, brandies, herbs and fruit liqueurs to discover. The bartenders will also be mixing cocktails for all connoisseurs on the sun terrace throughout the day. Markus Skrzepski will provide the right atmosphere with live music from 12 to 5 pm. In addition to homemade lamb sausage, soup and freshly baked cakes, there will be plenty of local culinary delights for visitors to choose from.
