Opening on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with the Neustrelitz fanfare band. Pastor Sebastian Kneipp lived over 200 years ago and developed a simple and holistic health concept. His teachings have not lost any of their relevance and many people are now reflecting on the very effective ways of hardening and prevention. For the 11th time, a wide variety of stakeholders have joined forces to organize an entire week in the spirit of Pastor Sebastian Kneipp. We will get to know all the 5th Kneipp pillars in interesting lectures and workshops.

We will hike with you through part of the Feldberg Lake District Nature Park and look out for seasonal mushrooms and herbs along the way. We will discuss the mushrooms we find and how to recognize them. What are the rules for picking mushrooms and herbs and what should you bear in mind when preparing them? Which of the mushrooms found are poisonous? Let us invite you to discover with us the exciting world of mushrooms in all their diversity and some of the countless healthy wild herbs.

Herb workshop - edible wild plants Cooking and eating outdoors - a day for connoisseurs: My aim is to awaken your interest in herbs in the area. With their healthy ingredients, our local wild herbs can supplement our diet in a healthy and varied way. During our wild herb walk through the meadow and garden, we get to know the individual plants. We will talk about how they can be confused, how to collect them, how to use, process and store them. Enjoy the adventure of collecting these wild herbs and then preparing them in my garden kitchen on the fire or in the kitchen witch to make a delicious wild herb menu. Afterwards, we will enjoy the prepared herb dishes and drinks together.
