The Reppiner Burg - an artificial castle tower ruin built in 1907 as a lookout point and excursion destination - is located on the southern shore of Schwerin Lake. From the viewing platform you have a view of Lake Schwerin, the two islands Kaninchenwerder and Ziegelwerder and the silhouette of Schwerin. Below the castle is a natural bathing area.

In 1878, after the demolition of the previous building, this was supplemented by the construction of a "bed chamber". The Grand Ducal Arsenal on the south-western bank of the Pfaffenteich in Schwerin, built between 1840 and 1844, is an impressive example of Tudor Gothic architecture.
