The Greifswald Caspar-David-Friedrich-Bildweg leads through the city of Greifswald and its immediate surroundings. At 15 stations, the walker will discover important places in the life and work of the painter.
The journey begins at Lange Straße 57, at the painter's birthplace, and then leads through the historic old town, past the large museum harbor with its many traditional ships, to the Eldena monastery ruins. The Bildweg can be easily explored on foot or by bike. Public guided tours are also offered through the Caspar David Friedrich Center.
