1st day tour (19 km): Zinnowitz - Loddin - Kölpinsee - Zinnowitz
On this stage, hikers visit the Usedom amber baths and climb the Streckelsberg. First, the Usedomer Bäderbahn takes hikers comfortably from Zinnowitz to the small seaside resort of Kölpinsee. Then the hike continues on foot to Loddin on the shores of the Achterwasser. A path across green meadows and fields leads the way to the Loddiner Höft. The cliff rises steeply out of the Achterwasser and offers a wide view - across the tides to the Gnitz peninsula. Return via Loddin and the seaside resort of Kölpinsee to the Baltic Sea. On the fine sandy beach in the seaside resort of Kölpinsee, many hikers take a break to refresh themselves in the sea and gather strength for the ascent to the 58-meter-high Streckelsberg. Summit strikers stroll up through a cloister of creaking beech trees. Where the canopy opens, the eye flies over the endless sea, white sandy beaches and green forested slopes.
2nd day tour (17 km): Zinnowitz - Peenemünde - Karlshagen - Trassenheide - Zinnowitz
By train hikers come from Zinnowitz to Peenemünde. Passing the toy museum, the natural science exhibition "Phänomenta" and the information center of the former army experimental station, you will reach the Peenestrom. Nearby is the largest breeding ground of gray herons. The elegant birds can sometimes be seen in the sky. Along the shore and the reed belt of the Cämmerer Lake, a path leads to Karlshagen. Shortly behind the seaside resort, a narrow path winds through sun-drenched pine forests to Trassenheide and on to Zinnowitz. The sound of the Baltic Sea, always just a stone's throw away, accompanies the hiker to the Zinnowitz pier. It rises 300 meters into the sea. From its top, the view sweeps over the sea and along the typical seaside villas on the beach promenade.
