Material paintings and objects made with analog and digital techniques, using tar, sand, lava, acrylic, shoe polish, etc., using fire and water.
wolf ART combines in his works artistic sensitivity and creative experimentation - scientifically and (socio)politically reflected. With his holistic way of seeing and working, he brings himself to landscape painting using unusual materials, techniques and methods. With an analytical eye, he breaks down landscapes into individual pictorial elements, condenses them into prototypes, and then reduces them to the essence of the object through phenomenological abstraction (for example, diverse impressions become typical groups of bushes, rows of trees, shorelines, coastal views). These basic considerations are followed by an eruptive creative frenzy in which the artist spontaneously and quickly realizes the images stored in his head on a roll of tracing paper many meters long, using shoe polish and a brush. The image sequences, which are considered successful after critical selection, are digitized by photography and finally perfected with various computer programs and printed or mounted on adequate carrier material. In these staggered processes from drawing to photography to digital image, works with condensed forms, poetic vibrations, and aesthetic appeal emerge. Beyond their lines, shapes, and colors, they open up a view of the essential, of what matters: grasping the core of ideas, things, and contexts. Landscape ultimately unfolds along a horizon - with a variable above and a diverse below. Contemporary art is an essential contribution to the construction of reality through reduction.
