Nature

The course is aimed at interested parties ("not yet beekeepers") who would like to learn about beekeeping in modern magazine hives and honey extraction in practice.

During 3 Saturday sessions at an apiary in Satow, you will gain complex insights into the life of a bee colony and the extensive practical work of a beekeeper. By the 2nd course at the latest, you will be able to work on the apiaries yourself and extract the first honey of the season. The first course takes place at the end of April and the last in June. Depending on the current weather conditions and the development of the bee colonies, these dates will be announced directly to the participants by the beekeeper after the end of the previous course. You will be informed of the exact location shortly before the 1st date. Please bring: light-colored, long-sleeved clothing, sturdy shoes, gloves if necessary, drinks and a good mood. Please do not use any strong-smelling cosmetics such as deodorant, perfume, body lotion, shaving and hair lotion or similar.
