Founded in 1964 in Meissen, Saxony, STERN-COMBO MEISSEN is Germany's longest-serving art rock legend and yet continues to impress audiences with its fascinating live concerts. In addition to unforgotten classics such as "Der Kampf um den Südpol", "Die Sage", "Der weite Weg", "Stundenschlag", "Wir sind die Sonne", "Eine Nacht", "Nimm die Welt in die Hand" and the conceptual work "Weißes Gold", new songs will also be presented on the 2025 tour.
The self-defined quality standards of their music to this day and the seamless combination of the band's history with current songs result in a unique symbiosis that fits into the "today and now". The sound carrier "Die Himmelsscheibe von Nebra", released in September 2024, is the latest proof of this. On it, the band dedicates itself to the fascinating story surrounding the creation of this culturally and historically significant testimony to the history of mankind and pays tribute to it musically and lyrically. In addition to this work, the EP also includes a classical adaptation and three other handmade rock songs that fit seamlessly into the band's artistic output. Another guarantee for artistic consistency is the stable line-up, consisting of band founder, percussionist and singer Martin Schreier, singer and keyboarder Manuel Schmid, drummer Frank Schirmer, bassist Axel Schäfer, keyboarder Sebastian Düwelt and guitarist Michael Lehrmann, who present the unique "STERN" sound that the audience expects and still appreciates.
