with Charlotte Kerner as part of the 23rd Ahrenshooper Literaturtage
The writer Rachel Carson (1907-1964), the researcher Lynn Margulis (1938 - 2011) and the philosopher Donna Haraway (*1944), whose life and work are the subject of this book, form an ecological triumfeminate. These eco-visionaries have described how closely intertwined human and more-than-human life on Earth is. Against much resistance, the three biologists crossed disciplinary boundaries, created new links between scientific research, philosophy, sociology and evolutionary theory and raised questions that are more important today than ever when it comes to survival in the future.
Film afterwards: "Ghosts of the Arctic - Ice Sharks"
The icy depths of the Arctic seas are the habitat of a mysterious creature that still puzzles researchers: The ghostly Greenland shark, has the longest life of any vertebrate on earth. Award-winning diver Christina Karliczek Skoglund wants to find and film these fantastic creatures in their extreme habitat. She embarks on a life-threatening expedition under the ice sheet of the Arctic.
