For MidsummerRemise 2025, Gutshaus Niendorf in West Mecklenburg opens its doors on both days with a café serving homemade creations.
The Niendorf manor house was built around 1860 by the Mecklenburg architect Georg Daniel and had been owned by the von Brandenstein family since 1827. Joachim Freiherr von Brandenstein, who managed the estate from 1906 to 1941, was a lawyer and, among other things, a minister at the Prussian court and Minister President in Mecklenburg-Schwerin. After 1945, the manor house was used as a residential building, kindergarten and supermarket. The park is still characterized by old trees, including two striking oaks and a large magnolia behind the house.
Program on Saturday, 21 June and 22 June 2025:
11 a.m. - 6 p.m.: Regular guided tours of the manor house
11 am - 6 pm: Stalls with arts and crafts
Culinary delights: delicious homemade cakes and tarts, coffee and savory delicacies at the Kutscherremise
