The new book by actress Eva Habermann and author Ida von Wegen

Whether it's a salary negotiation, a presentation, the theater stage or simply a first date - many people get stage fright in important situations. In their book "Learning to love stage fright ", author Ida von Wegen and actress and producer Eva Habermann explain the best way to deal with shaky hands, weak knees and palpitations

In an informative and entertaining way, the two authors not only show how to give a confident performance despite nervousness. They also explain what stage fright is, what many people are actually afraid of in important situations and how you can use stage fright to your advantage. With a mixture of knowledge, personal stories and tried-and-tested techniques, Eva Habermann and Ida von Wegen describe what happens in the body when we get excited, why we often block ourselves in these moments and how we can change this.

Stage fright often accompanies even professionals throughout their lives

In addition to their own experiences, tips and tricks for dealing with stage fright, numerous celebrities such as Oliver Kalkofe, Frauke Ludowig, Regina Halmich and Eckart von Hirschhausen also have their say. Eva Habermann and Ida von Wegen interview musicians, athletes, presenters and fellow actors about their negative or positive experiences with stage fright and which faux pas during performances still haunt them today. In the book, the authors explain and describe which techniques really help to calm our stress system and keep us focused.

About the authors:

Eva Habermann has become an integral part of the German TV & theater landscape. The award-winning actress and film producer founded her own production company, FANTOMFILM. She knows stage fright in all its facets and knows how to use it to her own advantage. As the inventor of the PKW method, the aim of which is to get to know and consciously use personality, power and impact, she shows how to prepare specifically for appearances and how to deal with stage fright more calmly, whether in front of or away from the spotlight. The author lives in Berlin and is publishing her first book.

Ida von Wegen loves to get people excited about a wide variety of topics. As a speaker and talk guest, she knows stage fright and excitement before appearances only too well. But giving up just because of that? Not at all! Since 2018, she has been publishing books and texts under her real name Dr. Franziska Ida Neumann and the pseudonym Ida von Wegen. The author studied law, business administration, art history and German studies in Germany and at the Sorbonne and the Louvre in Paris. She lives and works in Berlin. This is her third book.
