Percussionist Michael Yeung with marimba and vibraphone
Michael Yeung sweeps his audience off their feet: He can play Bach on the marimba or cause a small earthquake with the music of Iannis Xenakis. He played the timpani in the Mahler Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel. Last year, he won the Young Concert Artists competition in New York and was thus invited to the Usedom Music Festival.
