A world of solidarity cannot be achieved alone. We don't need magic or superpowers, we need each other.
With the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation MV, we are showing the exhibition "Zusammentun. Solidarity against the right" at the STRAZE.
With the knowledge, willingness, doubts and ability of many people, solidarity is created on a small scale. When they join forces, cohesion and perhaps something new is created. "Zusammentun - solidarisch gegen rechts" is an exhibition about how we confront the extreme right: together and in solidarity - about everyday life and highlights, failures and attacks, hope and allies. The exhibition is an invitation to reflect on questions and ideas of solidarity. The themed banners and associated audio pieces, which are also available as videos in sign language, are about this.
(To play the videos and audio pieces, you will need a smartphone with the ability to scan QR codes and headphones if necessary).
"We created the exhibition to show that there are many groups who are politically active every day in solidarity and who show that a society that is just and solidary is possible," says Hannah Eitel from the Heinrich Böll Regional Foundations' Education Alliances against Right-Wing Ideologies department. Among others, the group "OpferperspektiveBrandenburg", Initiative 19. February Hanau and the Sinti Union Schleswig-Holstein are portrayed. "We have often received support from German society. So I'm sure that many Germans don't want to live with this racism either, not just migrants. We have to fight for this together," says Serpil, educational initiative Ferhat Unvar.
The exhibition can be viewed in the STRAZEsaal. The exhibition is open on Sundays and Mondays from 2pm to 6pm and by appointment. Admission is free.
