St. Marien and St. Georgen
High, proud, mighty and visible from the land or sea from afar rise the Wismar churches of St. Nikolai, St. Marien and St. Georgen. Free admission to the exhibitions St. Marien and St. Georgen. Donations are requested for the preservation of the cultural heritage. Guided tours of the exhibition are available upon request.
Tower tours on St. Marien
What remains of St. Marien, the former council church, is the mighty 80-meter tower. A landmark of Wismar that has been greeting land and sea for centuries . . . Highlights of the exhibition include a 3-D film screening in the exhibition of St. Marien, which allows the Marienkirche to come into being virtually.
Admission to the exhibition of St. Mary's church tower is free of charge.
Entrance fee for the tower tour and 3D film: 3,00 Euro, reduced 2,00 Euro, children up to 6 years free entrance 2,50 Euro (for groups of 15 persons or more, only valid for the 3D film)
The exhibition is mostly accessible.

St. Georgen - viewing platform
WISMAR FROM ABOVE - with the elevator to the viewing platform in 35 m height
St. George's Church is one of the largest brick churches in northern and eastern Germany. Destroyed by bombing, the ruin was left to further decay until 1990. On January 25, 1990, a hurricane brought down the gable of the north transept. This event provided the impetus for the reconstruction of the church. In May 2010, the 20th anniversary of the reconstruction of St. George's Church was celebrated. With the viewing platform on St. Georgen, Wismar offers its vacationers and day visitors a new and impressive view of the old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the harbor. The elevator to the viewing platform can be used daily during opening hours.
Admission to the church is free of charge.
Entrance fees to the viewing platform:
3.00 euros 2.00 euros reduced , children up to 6 years free admission 2.50 euros (for tour groups of 15 people or more).
