For the seventh time, the Rostock Zoo Association is dedicating a special event to species conservation.
Orangutans, gorillas, tree kangaroos and various botanical species - many animal and plant species are critically endangered. As zoo residents, Sizzel, Assumbo & Co. act as ambassadors for their endangered conspecifics. With their help, the aim is to raise awareness of nature and species conservation. On September 8, 2024, the Rostock Zoo Association is dedicating a special event to this important topic for the seventh time with the Species Conservation Day. Visitors can find out about the various projects at different stations - about marine pollution, endangered animals and plants and much more.
