Bach-Schemelli
Georg Christian Schemelli was a student of St. Thomas in Leipzig and later castle cantor in Zeitz. In 1736, he convinced Bach to collaborate on his Musikalisches Gesangbuch. The faith hopes and expectations of these songs and chorales not only filled Bach's life, but still touch and move us today.
