The Mecklenburg Children's Center invites all interested parties to an information event on wir2 attachment training for single parents. The central topic is the needs of single and separated parents as well as support services.
Journalist and author Rocco Thiede gives a sensitive introduction to the world of single parents in a reading. He has conducted interviews to find out about the life situations and wishes of single parents and compiled them in his book "Lasst uns nicht allein!: Was Alleinerziehende und ihre Kinder nach der Trennung brauchen" (2022).
In addition, course instructors from the wir2 attachment training course provide information about the free offer of this parenting course developed especially for single parents, which the Mecklenburg-Schwerin Children's Center has been offering in Schwerin since 2019. This has sustainably improved the experiences of parents and their children who have taken part so far.
The event will be framed by an information market on regional specialist services specifically for single-parent families. There will be plenty of time to exchange ideas with each other and with experts.
