Reading with Bernhard Urbach | martial arts master | Stralsund & musical interludes: Neele Krüger (trombone), admission: 10 euros
Bernhard Urbach, literature and theater scholar and martial arts master with his own martial arts school "Aufsteigender Kranich" in Stralsund and Greifswald, will read texts from his unpublished works.
Two stories are from the cycle "Seasons". Four friends, including Katia Bouzid, sitting in a café in Berlin, are surprised by a summer storm of the century, which paralyzes the entire public life of the city for fifteen minutes. In the second story, a description of the snowfall from a balcony, we become even more closely acquainted with Katia, this time smoking a cigarette. Her thoughts in the form of an inner monologue alternate with the meticulous description of her external movements as she smokes.
The main text of the reading is taken from the travel book "The Train of Cranes". The sipping of pomegranate juice allows the two main characters Bastian and Katia to immerse themselves deeper and deeper in the oriental world of Marrakech, or more precisely, the Djemaa el Fna marketplace. This story is the most experimental.
