Tango Operita by Astor Piazzolla
She comes from the suburbs of Buenos Aires. Her world is the streets and bars, her ally is darkness, her dance is the tango and her business is love. María from Buenos Aires is anything but a bright one and yet all the hopes of the earth seem to rest on her when she becomes pregnant.
The operita "María de Buenos Aires" is a unique theatrical synthesis of the arts. To the surreal lyrical texts of the Uruguayan poet Horacio Ferrer, Astor Piazzolla created a music that breathes tango from every note, yet goes far beyond it. The result is a work that transcends in every respect. Here, mysticism and reality mix as well as opera and dance.
