"All people to whom music means something bow before Franz Schubert's String Quintet in C major," the unforgettable music critic Joachim Kaiser once wrote. To this day, nothing has changed. And so the Danish String Quartet, reinforced by cellist Johannes Rostamo, dedicates this evening to this masterpiece. The classical chapel in the middle of the idyllic park at the Boldevitz manor house provides the perfect backdrop. String quartets by Mozart and Shostakovich, which complete the program, also have a special effect here.
Afterwards - Eine kleine Nachtmusik (limited capacity)
Between 1763 and 1764, the then largely unknown painter Jacob Philipp Hackert produced six large-format landscape wallpapers for the manor house's ballroom. The evening's musicians perform an encore in this historic setting.
