as part of the 24th Long Night of Art
Ingrid Schreyer describes her first meeting with the writer Brigitte Reimann in September 1963 in Ahrenshoop, where she talks about Walter Ulbricht's private audience and her Stasi affair in 1958. Both women were guests at the summer house of the writer Wolfgang Schreyer (1927-2017).
The author from Ahrenshoop has lived in Ahrenshoop with the writer Wolfgang Schreyer since 1972. Together they developed novel material for his bestsellers. In the mid-1980s, she and young women from the region founded the "Ahrenshooper Modetreff" with self-designed collections. During the reunification period, she founded many protest actions. From 2000, she published her art books "Ahrenshooper Art". Since 2023, she has been reading in her garden about encounters with artist friends, such as Stefan Heym (1913-2001), about whom she is writing a book that will be supported by the Stefan Heym Award of the City of Chemnitz on February 9, 2024.
