The Nosferatour is a large character play that takes its guests through the old town of Wismar.
The "Nosferatour" is a different kind of theater experience that takes visitors on a journey through the historic old town of Wismar, which also serves as the backdrop for our theater tour.
Each audience member receives a silent disco headset before the performance begins, so that they can listen to every word even in the open air.
At various historical locations of our UNESCO World Heritage Site, including original filming locations, 4.5 meter high large figures tell their story in the best silent movie manner.
They are supported by a concept of live acting in a balanced combination with a specially created radio play and a real-life character embodied by a professional actor.
The latter, in his role of Dr. Van Helsing, leads the audience not only through the old town of Wismar, but also through the story of the play. With exciting monologues and excerpts from letters and other artifacts he has collected during his research on evil in Wismar, he lets the audience participate live in his highly scientific vampire hunt.
In the course of ninety minutes, an eerily beautiful vampire story unfolds, based on the classic of film history.
