Reading with Hannah Lenz and Andreas Dormann
Hannah Lenz recites lyrical texts about well-known artists such as Franz Marc, Max Ernst, Georg Trakl and Marc Chagall. As a lyricist, she thus pays tribute in her own way to these and other artists who lived at the time of the First World War and who repeatedly enriched and enriched her through their art.
In the period 1914-1918, most of them had to pay for their initial enthusiasm and followership with death or injury, or at least with disillusionment and traumatization. For what these sensitive men - who found expression in painting, poetry, sculpture and prose - remembered at the beginning of the last century were their experiences in the trenches and captivity. Despite the difficult times, however, "my big brothers" were able to hold on to the blue land of inspiration and take up residence there. For some, this "food" was the only means of survival, and later also an important way of coming to terms with their experiences.
The musician Andreas Dormann skillfully accompanies the spoken passages with jazzy saxophone, flute and clarinet.
