Holger Teschke, born in Bergen (albeit on the island of Rügen) in 1958, is a poet, playwright, author of radio plays, prose and non-fiction books. He was awarded the Neruda Prize for Poetry in 2004. He has been working with the "Seebühne Hiddensee" since 2006 and has been teaching at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin since 2010.
