Schönhof Manor House
Baltic Sea estate
The Schönhof manor house in northwest Mecklenburg is a late classicist, two-storey building. Built around 1750 as a single-storey manor house, it was extended by architect Heinrich Gustav Thormann in 1860 to become the manor house it is today, and a five-axle extension was added around 1900. The Schönhof manor house has been carefully renovated since 2023 and events are already being held there. This means you can see the house in its original form and as a building site.
This gives you the rare opportunity to see what other houses once looked like.
Treat yourself to delicious homemade cakes and pastries from our farm café in the park behind the house. The particularly impressive tree population includes an impressive copper beech, a large plane tree and, as a rarity, a yellow-leaved oak.
