Natural history hike in the Greifswald countryside. Today: On the trail of the salt aster silk bee! - Walk through the Ryck meadows (approx. 2h)
In a series of nature tours in the Greifswald countryside, residents and visitors to the city are invited to learn about the history and use of the landscape, flora and fauna. The focus is on the meadows - a multifaceted habitat that is illuminated from different perspectives in a playful reference to C. D. Friedrich's painting "Meadows near Greifswald". Nature, Friedrich's most important source of inspiration, plays the main role here.

Juliane Brasch and Anja Reuhl invite you to search for a special wild bee. The salt aster silk bee flies late in the year, when the salt aster is in bloom in September. The bee seems to be benefiting from the ongoing climate change and is spreading to the north and east. NABU Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is conducting a citizen science project to find out how widespread the bee has become. Together we will investigate whether they have become native to the meadows near Greifswald. On the excursion we will also discover other small and large natural treasures.
Admission: free, a donation is requested.
Registration: not required
