When evening comes, quiet returns to Stralsund Zoo. The lively show macaws tuck their heads under their wings, the mustached tamarin family moves into its sleeping basket for the night, and the lion Mufassa signals for the last time that day with his roar that he is the king in his territory.
When evening comes, quiet returns to Stralsund Zoo. The lively show macaws tuck their heads under their wings, the moustached tamarin family moves into its sleeping basket for the night, and the lion Mufassa signals for the last time that day with his roar that he is the king of his territory. Not so, however, on the long zoo night: the animal trainers open the evening with an evening show. The newcomers to the show animals are particularly popular. Afterwards, the guests of the "Long Zoo Night" can choose one of the offered theme tours. Staff members from the various zoo areas and the garden department will present their very special view of the animals entrusted to their care. The evening will end at the campfire with a hearty meal of bratwurst and stick bread, prepared by the staff of the "Delikater" bistro. Zoo visitors will have another chance to talk to the keepers in a relaxed atmosphere by firelight and experience some of the zoo's trusting inhabitants up close.
