Lecture series in cooperation with the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald
To accompany the Philharmonic Concerts, which are part of the Sibelius cycle, Dr. Florian Csizmadia and Benjamin Schweitzer M. A. have initiated their own lecture series in cooperation with the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald.The Philharmonic Orchestra of Vorpommern will perform all Sibelius symphonies between 2022 and 2024 for the first time in its history. The accompanying lecture series will contextualize and critically examine the composer's work and personality in a broader setting - with a look at musical and cultural references in the Baltic region and beyond.
