"Jaspar Libuda Double Bass Solo":
He transforms the double bass into a solo instrument with timbres reminiscent of cello, percussion and guitar. Melodic bowing and chordal plucking seem to lift the heaviness of the instrument. A border crossing between jazz, rock, pop, minimal music, classical and wall of sound. With double bass and electronics he builds up a whole ensemble in front of his listeners' ears, layers surfaces and rhythms on top of each other, weaves melodies and silence into a fairy-tale world of sound, simultaneously melancholic and full of joie de vivre.
