Living room concert with Jan Simowitsch
At the age of three, Jan and the Baltic Sea decided to visit all the beaches and seas together. But since the whole Baltic Sea is impossible to fit in his trouser pocket, he put the waves in his fingers. And since even he can't fully surrender to the sea, the Baltic Sea has written itself into his lyrics.
The former pop cantor of the Nordkirche is a guest in his home town from Hamburg, and as a native of Rostock, the journey to Rövershagen is a short one. In his luggage he has piano music inspired by the Baltic Sea and Scandinavia. One of his most successful albums is also called "Sundevit", including the piano piece "Nienhagen" - right next door near Warnemünde. In addition to the music, Jan Simowitsch also brings prose texts about the big and small themes of life to the concert: sometimes subtly funny and sometimes thoughtfully touching. He has been writing texts regularly for four years now, initially only in digital media and magazines. Two years ago, Jan Simowitsch then published his debut book "Hand aufs Herz".
The fact that music and words always relate to each other guarantees an entertaining and touching evening.
